What do modern cults and the Kabbalah have in common? Nowadays Kabbalah is taught in many groups, religious societies and ideological organizations all over the world, including cults. These cults and the Kabbalah books can be a source of kabbalistic information for those who decided to study this sophisticated doctrine.
However, the risk that the Kabbalah’s followers may face by joining such cults is that the knowledge and teachings given in the main kabbalistic sources, like Torah and Zohar, can be misinterpreted and misrepresented by different teachers. Like some religions which have been explained incorrectly for years and used for destruction by people with bad intentions, Kabbalah may be used the same way. Therefore, modern cults and the Kabbalah doctrine may have nothing in common if such cults are represented by dishonest people who use knowledge to mislead the others. On the other hand, most nonprofit or low-profit cults may provide you with a lot of useful information and genuine assistance in terms of unraveling the mysteries of Kabbalah.
